EXECUTION. – On Saturday last, Noah Peak and George Fortis , both late of Bressingham, were executed at the Castle, in this city, pursuant to their sentence, for being with William Baker, (who was admitted an evidence for the Crown) in setting fire to several stacks belonging to Mr. John Kent, of Diss, in the night of the 25th of February last. These are the only incendiaries who have been brought to justice in this county; and would possibly have still remained undiscovered, if they had not been engaged in a riot and breaking the thrashing machine of Mr. R. Doggett, of Winfarthing, on the 28th of February, which led to their apprehension, and ultimately to subjecting these two unhappy men to the heaviest sentence of the law. They both leave families to bewail their ignominious end.
